Max Knigge is a Dutch composer and violist. He studied composition and viola at the conservatories of Amsterdam and The Hague. Knigge's compositions have been performed by ensembles including the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Residentie Orchestra, Amstel Quartet, and members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Among his teachers were Daan Manneke, Willem Jeths, and Wim Henderickx. His compositional oeuvre includes works for orchestra, chamber ensemble, as well as theatre and ballet.
