Dragonflies, Six Studies for Two Violas, is inspired by the movements and behaviours of dragonflies in flight. These beautiful creatures are depicted in studies written specifically with students of the viola in mind. The studies explore a number of important string techniques and, although written for the practice room, are also suitable for concert performance.
